Just added a Phillips CD-I to my collection. It came with the light gun and the elusive gamepad controller. (the controller that actually looks like... a controller)

I've got some good games for it (was waiting for a system to play them on) including Mutant Rampage Bodyslam, which is a neat 2D side scrolling beat em up. Also thought I had The Apprentice, (platform game) but when I opened the case it seems that a Merlin's Apprentice disc was actually inside.

The console was not working when I received it. I had it playing for a few minutes by pressing the lid sensor with a stylus. But later it died. After I wedged up the disc spinner with some force (and trial and error) it came to life again and started working normally.

I intend to do a video about the console and my pickups. Assuming it's still working when it comes to recording it.

I saw mention of them in one of the three Jaguar groups I am in on Facebook. It was advertised on eBay and I got the last one, sorry. The memory track I already have one but this was new and a lot less than the one currently advertised on eBay so, I am quite happy 😊

Well, I'm sure I read somewhere that they were being re-made under license but in limited numbers. They are sure to pop up again.
