Great looking games, TrekMD. Is Millipede even playable w/ the 5200's controller?




This came in today. Been PMing a guy periodically about it for almost two years. It's the special edition with over 100 levels. Can't wait to hit some of the 'new' ones. Played a bit earlier and was immediately blown away by the different music and sound effects. Noticed that parts of the lines the little egg guy travels along disappear and reappear like a glitch. Starting the game from the beginning is just like the original unencrypted version and the newly 'fixed' encrypted version by @avick and myself.
Guess I need to put in that last password, work my way back through the brutally difficult last level and see what lies ahead

Thanks Saturn.  Yes, Millipede can be played using the 5200 controller but it can also be played with the trackball controller.   

Painter is one awesome game.  I have it both in cart and CD release.

Thanks amigos. I missed the original run in 2008 but got interested back in 2014. Was a long wait but the package is the real deal and I'm ecstatic about adding it to the collection. Big Painter fan back in 2004 so this is icing.

No offense about the controller TrekMD. Wasn't downing the 5200 as I've never even played one. Just had heard it wasn't the greatest controller and know the action can get intense quick in Millipede. (Re-read my post and it sounded harsh)
That's cool about the trackball btw.

Here's what I know (for reference)
The original release in 2004 was a port of the ST version from one of the authors, Gordon Gibson. He couldn't get it encrypted so released it as an unencrypted CD, then the encryption was found but useless as there was still no way to incorporate it into the original source code.

In 2008 a petition was started to garner interest in a re-release and user made levels were included in a cart.

In Oct, 2014 I inquired privately about buying a copy if any were still available or could me made.

In Sept, 2015 I posted the level passwords and revisited the source code. One thing led to another and with the use of ULS/JiFFI, an encrypted version on CD was created.

In July, 2016 one Painter SE was available and arrived on 8/8/16.

Sorry I've been a little busy recently so not been on  , I got the items below at the Revival Solstice event at Walsall recently.

I also just received a Atari composite mod that allows a VCS or 7800 to have composite out rather than plain old RF. Ive got to choose between a 2600 Junior or 7800 to mod, I dont really want to kill my 2600 Woody.

Yep, very nice. If it was me, I'd mod the 7800. That way you can play both 2600 and 7800 games with a much better picture
