A new hack for Atari's Donkey Kong has been made available that improves upon the already excellent 8-bit version of the game.  Darryl1970 worked on the hack and, in conjunction with Playsoft, has released the final version which brings the game much closer to the Arcade original! While the hack includes a color change, other changes include arcade-accurate renditions of the girders, Mario, Pauline, and Donkey Kong.   Check the video below for a side-by-side comparison.

That is outstanding! This guy is a hacking machine, for sure. WOW
There's a lot of hacks on the download page. I wasn't aware of any of it but grabbed it all. Thanks a million for the heads up
on this. :D

TrekMD

Sure thing.  Yes, I did the same thing!

Nice, I recently picked up a DK for 5200 which does play pretty nice if not a bit fast.

This hack is available for the 5200 as well.  Give it a spin.

I'll maybe see if I can get a multicart sometime. Just recently I picked up a 5200 after having a chance to play it at FreePlay in November for the first time in 30+ yrs.

Wow.  It's a cool system.  Most of the titles are well made.
