And now Sony wants to enter the retro bandwagon...

This is most definitely the era of the retro console with Nintendo, Atari (the Atari VCS is up for pre-order now) and others in on the retro console action. Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is considering stepping into that retro console realm as well with a revival of the PlayStation One console. Word of the possibility of a retro console from Sony comes from a source that should have a very good idea of what's in the pipeline.

Personally, I'd rather they just make the PS5 backwards compatible with all previous consoles than make a specific Mini console. A lot of PS1 games haven't really aged that well but there's some I'd replay for sure.

I'd buy a PS5 fully backwards compatible, just don't see a market for the PS One but there are many who would.

Think there is a big market for a PS mini, with 20-25 games, pad for £79 would go down a storm imo

Well true, but the same could be said about the NES or SNES and the mini versions went on to sell millions of units, plus carboot sales are a dying breed too, none round our area anymore.
