Why did the MCU video games stop?

I recently just played through the sega video games based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe (Iron Man 1 and 2, The Incredible Hulk, Thor,Captain America)

Iron Man and Thor = Bad
Hulk=OK
Captain Merica = Great Game

From what I can tell all the games made money and the last game was Captain America which was really enjoyable. I always wondered why Sega stopped making the games. I reckon a guardian of the galaxy game would have been great.

Anyone know why they stopped?

And is there any MCU properties that should be made into a video game?

I'm not aware of a specific reason but it may just have been that the license expired and either company chose not to renew it.

Going to the final frontier, gaming...

I think for the most part they just stopped making movie tie in games. Most of the ones made were pretty bad and people got tired of being burned when they bought them, to the point where even when there was a good one released nobody would buy it cause they just assumed it would be crap.

Yeah movie tie ins certainly get a bad rep so I figure most devs steer clear where possible, the Spiderman PS4 exclusive looks like it could be another to break that mold though.

I'm pretty sure that the game is meant to set up some sort of MVGU and is not tied to any movie as far as I know
