Which classic SNK fighting franchise do you prefer?

I love Art Of Fighting a lot and have been playing the original almost every day this month, but I think I'd have to go with Fatal Fury because I like the selection of fighters it has slightly more.

Fatal Fury for me. I really like the FF Real Bout games.

I think Fatal Fury has the more memorable and recognizable characters. It's my favorite SNK fighting game series next to Samurai Shodown and King of Fighters.

I have both Fatal Fury compilations on the PS2 (the second one has the Real Bout games), but I've actually never played them yet.  I was introduced to the world of Neo Geo earlier this year thanks to a fan of my channel, Anthony, who sent me several SNK compilations.  With so many of those being fighting games, I haven't had a chance to play them all yet, but I will soon (currently I've played FF1, FF2, FF Special, AOF, and KOF94 as well as some of SNK's non-fighting games).  Thanks again Anthony if you're reading this :)

AOF has it's own unique style that I love (the spirit gauge, jumping off walls, the zooming screen, and useful minigames), but there's just something about Fatal Fury that I love more.  It's probably because Terry is just so cool :).  AOF does have Ryo, Robert, Lee and King who I think are quite memorable, but Fatal Fury has Duck King, Raiden, Billy Kane, Mai, Kim, Joe, Andy, Laurence Blood, Krauser, and Geese.  Both are outstanding games, but for me, Fatal Fury is the true King Of Fighters (I just had to say that XD).

I just finished all the Fatal Fury games on the Neo Geo yesterday (the only games I haven't played are Mark Of The Wolves and First Contact).  The Real Bout series was awesome!

Shadowrunner

Cool! Mark of the Wolves is another great game if you get the chance to try it.

Love Art of Fighting, but for me its all about Real Bout Fatal Fury Special... For me this as good as it gets...

Just wish it didnt have that move to the backplane stuff... I could do without that to be honest...

Real Bout Special was great.  I just didn't care for that American announcer and Krauser's redesign.  Other than that, I loved it :)

P.S.  Welcome to RVG!

AOF3 imo is better than the first 3 FF games, but Real Bout series are the best, pick up and play fighting games at their best.

I would go for Fatal Fury because the only one i played in Mark of the Wolves way back when my local cinema had an arcade. They replaced it with Tekken and then eventually the whole Arcade Shut down :(
