Mine is the one you see below. I have large hands so perfect for me. Anybody else prefer a third party controller to the original?

3 button Mega Drive controller all day long.
I did go through a few third party controllers, a couple on the SNES. There was a Mega Drive shaped one actually with lots of rapid fire switches and stuff. Was still a bit shit mind.

The Konix Speedking was also very good, particularly for Sensi Soccer (*edit: thats not a Sega controller, clearly...)

Six Button Japanese pad - Slightly smaller than original version.

I had one of these back in the day and loved it. Id happily have one now plugged in to my PC. Tbh I found the 3 Button MD pad to be poor ergonomically. The 6 button pad was better. The Master System pad was too square. DC pad a little quirky. Best digital pad overall was the Snes pad.

That's a nice looking controller.

forgot to show off my other controller too this one is great because I have mate who collects for snes and on the rare occasion we play multiplayer games like sf2 he can map in like snes controller.

The Master System arcade stick was a stroke of genius...

Remember buying several stock Genesis controllers new. The c-button always seemed to go bad. I did like the smaller 6 button version.

The Game Gear.  I don't know if that counts, but it certainly is comfortable with very nice buttons.

LOL! Like that response. It does fit your hands well.

TrekMD

LOL  That is a good answer indeed.

I agree the game gear is great does everything you need. Anyone ever played a nomad apparently those are meant to control and play better than the game gear.

TrekMD

I have a Nomad and it works quite well.  I actually upgraded the screen on mine and the games look even better.  It's a cool little system (though not so little!).

Yeah sega handhelds aren't exactly pocket sized.

I carry my Game Gear in my pocket.  It actually fits comfortably.
