Hi Guys and Gals, in a few days we will be receiving our Atari Falcon 030 so I need the following software. If anyone could show me where to download them that would be most appreciative.
1. 68000 Assembler
2. Music editor like Octamed for the Amiga.
3. Painting package like Deluxe Paint IV for the Amiga.
4. Sprite editors
and anything else you might think we'll need for gaming developement.
Also, with STOS. I've heard it's kind of like AMOS for the Amiga? I'll have to research that.

Anyway thanks guys for your support.
Pete

I'll answer this phone call..from the sands of time .....

For coding : Devpac (machine code assember) or GFA basic / STOS
For Music : MaxYMiser (ST Tracker)
For Gfx : NeoChrome / Degas Elite / Canvas / Deluxe Paint 4 / Tile Studio / GrafX2

This is really all you need to deliver quality ST games.

Hi Guys, thanks for the warm welcome. :)  Yep our Atari Falcon030 is arriving in 2 days so I want to be prepared for writing a few games for it.  I'm not going to mention which or what type of games but we have a few already lined up. I'm going to take advantage of the Falcon's 65536 hicolour mode and 16bit stereo sound. Not too crazy about the 608030 running at 16Mhz but it does have a DSP chip running at 32Mhz so bonus there. Anyway, thanks guys again for the welcome back and thank you GREYFOX for the info on the spftware to use. I'll let you guys know what we're doing after I get familiar with the Falcons hardware. Have fun.... Oh quick, play the jingle.... "HAVE YOU PLAYED ATARI TODAY." LOL. :) Pete

No worries Pete, the Falcon can do incredible stuff and in a lot of case outperform the might Commodore Amiga machine, but that's another argument for another time lol
