I saw this article and I wanted to share it was I was not aware that there was a game for the GameCube that let you find and play NES games within the game itself.  I think this was a cool way to give folks a chance to play the original NES games on a newer system.  The game itself doesn't seem to get very good reviews but this feature is neat.  Check out the article here:  Animal Crossing on Gamecube let you play full NES games for free, and it was amazing.  Has anyone tried this game?  What do you think of it?

I played this quite a bit and had a lot of fun. I didn't spend much time with the NES games but the actual game of just maintaining your village was pretty addictive. My girlfriend at the time was playing it too and she had her own village. We could visit the other persons village and interact with it, which at the time seemed very cool.

Cool. Did the game let you know ahead of time of the NES games?  Or did you just happen to bump into them?

I don't think I knew about them ahead of time, so it was a surprise. I only found a couple of them but it was a neat idea.

That's cool.  So it was a surprise find in the game.  :)
