I just learned about this new clone for the Atari 2600 called the Onyx Jr.  There is not much information about it but it seems to have an interesting story.  The system was manufactured by Brazilian company Microdigital in the 1980's.

The original idea was for Microdigital to create a clone of the ColecoVision under the name Onyx.  Unfortunately, producing the system would be rather costly and the lack of a consolidated market for the system made the company change direction to create a clone of the Atari 2600 instead.  Since there were other clones of the 2600 in the marketplace, the company expected their clone to do well.  The system did not bring the expected success, however, as there was actually market saturation for 2600 clones.

As you can see, even the carts have their own unique design and there is a rather interesting mix of games as well.  Another unique aspect is that this clone introduces an official Pause button, which would be a first for a 2600 clone.  Has anyone heard of this clone before?

Never heard of it before. Interesting colour choice!

Yep, not the color I'd expect from something called Onyx.
