New Arcade Gaming Area

Yes thats right.

RVG has a proper Arcade.

So far we have 6 games installed with more to come in the coming days and weeks.

We will also run a few comps for real prizes.

In order to use the Arcade you need to make 3 posts in a 24 hr period, this is to save bandwidth and generally stop people joining here just for the Arcade, most of us do 3 posts in that period anyway. So enjoy

Just played a couple:

Galaxian - So buggy is basically unplayable. 1 alien left and he went of the bottom of the screen and never came back. Plays nothing like the real game.

Chuckie Egg - This would be pretty good if it wasn't ruined by the conteols, took me ages to figure out what they were and then found climbing the ladders is far too exact leading to a lot of frustration.

Will look at replacing or deleting extreme bugged games.

'Galaxian' is basically a poorly coded Space Invaders. How many points can you score before hitting a fatal game bug??

I actually like the Galaxian... fast paced and the bugs in the game just add to the challenge.


PacMan and Kung Fu are my favorites of the games that are there so far though.
