We back on SMF!

Can say I am disappointed, phpbb is a good system but its "better the devil you know" for me.

I have had issues with the previous software for a while and tried to get help but that was slow coming forth so the recent events have speeded this process up to be honest as it was on the cards.

SMF is something I know pretty well so expect to see plenty updates but I hope you the members like this version better and will post and spam the hell out of it lol.

Feels good/familiar to be back. Didn't know if the mass email was, in itself, a hack but started saving threads left and right in case RVG was compromised. Can't lose all that info!

How long until the phpbb goes 'down'? I found that previous threads I made have been edited to nothing: The Hit List
And TrekMD's reply after my initial post says it was Last Edit: December 31, 1969 by Guest.

The front end will stay as that's amazing for our content. Just going to work on getting the for some additional use.

Pasted the info back in but links are to the other site. Will have to edit them again but for now at least it has some info in the post. Was leery when I saw "Guest" and Al Gore hadn't even invented the internet in 1969.

I'm excited about this too. Was difficult getting used to manually opening a new tab for links ONLY at RVG. Great stuff!

Is there a way to increase the max characters per post from 20,000 to 50,000? Just wondering as I'll need to go back and edit every info thread I've made to accommodate this, which will increase the amount of posts per. Not a big deal either way on my end but would save some time if it were 50,000

I keep ticking 'Notify me of replies' in my posts but never get an email heads up of activity. Assuming my email address is still on file, is there anything I can do from my end? (not trying to post a bunch of complaints here, just wondering how to get back on track without adding more to your plate)
