Recently picked up a GB with all the mod works done:

Has a backlight for its screen, professionaly painted, new buttons, new glass screen, audio mod (removes background noise on headphones) and Bivert chip. The chip is fantastic as it transforms the original screen making it capable of displaying higher contrasts thus removing most blur the old one suffered from one. You can get them done here but I picked mine up from eBay for £75:

Did a bit of shopping at the same time and came up with these on my travels:

Shadowrunner

MadCommodore

The old mono Gameboy screens really needed faster respone rate more than anything (to make them more useful than a chocolate tea pot haha) but a backlight is very useful for the GBA (which apart from lack of backlight is quite a nice machine to have I think)

I play all my GB games today on a £15 chinese PSPS lookalike with a gorgeous colour TFT screen (and the mono mode goes into sepia mode greyscale haha)

TrekMD

Very nice.  That's quite a bit of mods!

Going to the final frontier, gaming...
