[align=center:25q6m23a]I mentioned the NES version of Action 52 earlier in this thread, but what about the Mega Drive/Genesis version?

Let's Review Action 52 (Genesis) Part 1

I'm late to the party but:

Where's Waldo - NES <- E.T on the 2600 is far more entertaining and playable than this load of crap
Dishaster - Atari 2600 <- Evidence that E.T. was not the worst game ever made, much less on the Atari 2600. Seriously, this "game" was probably meant to be a screensaver or something, it is horribly boring and stupid.
Rise of the Robots - Multi <- In terms of Jag stuff, it dodged a bullet by not having that released. It would have beat DD5 for the worst title on the system
Double Dragon 5 - SNES/MD/Jag <- I like my Double Dragon as a brawler. Not some incompetent excuse for an SF2 clone
Superman 64 - N64 <- I would rather look for pieces of phones in pits than play this garbage.
Mutant Fighter - Arcade <- Failed try at a wrestling game with monsters. Regretted spending a nickel on it
Top Gun - NES <- A lot of games get trashed just because they were disappointing but this was disappointing and then some as everyone knew Top Gun was a cool movie and we wanted some dogfighting. Instead crashing into the ocean is apparently what Top Gun is all about. I don't know how anyone could ever defend that piece of garbage. Again, falling into pits for phones is preferable.

Interesting list of games, arcadehero.  I do agree with you about ET on the 2600.  There are plenty of other games for the system that are absolute garbage.

Shadowrunner

I played a lot of Top Gun on the NES when I was a kid. Mind you, I didn't get new games very often back then so I was stuck playing them whether they were good or not  :21:  The main thing I remember about the game was how hard it was to land and refuel!

Hehe, I played a lot of Top Gun too but I always hated it. I kept going back to it hoping that I would figure it out and it would then play better but my friends and I always ended up feeling aggravated. I put it on the list because I think it was just poor design instead of difficulty. The kind of game that has helped define really crappy movie tie-in games.

On the 2600, the games by Mythric were confusing to the point of being unplayable. I don't know if any of them have redeeming value whatsoever, such as Star Fox and Firefly (nothing to do with the sci-fi series of course!). But from all of the exploration of the 2600 library I have done, I think its safe to say that Dishaster is truly the worst.

Dishaster

TrekMD

Never heard of that Dishaster before.  Glad I had not!  LOL

That's why I mention it. I cannot imagine having paid for that game back-in-the-day! I discovered it back when my Cuttle Cart 2 for the 7800 worked. It was really fun exploring the library but also saving myself the trouble of wasting the money on certain games like that. I also recall a game called Nightmare being terrible. But I found gems like Frankenstein's Monster that were really fun. Sadly my CC2 doesn't work anymore :/

TrekMD

A new Harmony cart for the 7800 is being developed that should make testing out such games much easier.  :)

I have that game! I believe it is also known as Dancing Plates.

My version is so bad though that it's even got the wrong label, it has one for Mission 3000  :21:
