Custom built storage for my Jaguar collection

Ok, as my Jaguar collection slowly expands I need to store the games somewhere and for the last year they have been here:


Not ideal. So, I had a think and having seen a simple shelving system created by an American on YouTube a few weeks ago and Akuza's recent topic about his ambition to create a games room, I sat down and drew up a plan...

Apologies by the way, for the poor quality pictures. I took them with my phone.

So, this is where the unit will go...


...and so the measuring, cutting and drilling begins (yes, I am wearing slippers)...

So, the wooden frame idea served me well. I even extended it to house my controllers and odds and sods.

However, after seeing a picture on social media, a long time ago, of a chap who housed all his 2600 cartridges in an IKEA cabinet I decided they would also suit my Jaguar games. Today, couple of hours ago, despite my condition (I should say in spite of), I have managed to mount five cabinets. I am very happy with the result...




BTW, this IS an expensive method, so I can't recommend others follow my example. Still, it was a personal indulgence and I like it. What do you think?

Thanks Trek, I am very pleased with how it has all turned out. If you look closely, I haven't even filied in the holes from the previous rack yet lol I will get some filler today 😉
