Here are just a few photos from a side street arcade in Saigon. I also have some video and more photos of a much larger and newer Chucky Cheese style arcade in Danang that is maybe the largest operating arcade I have been to anywhere including ones I saw in Japan. It has a 3d motion seat theater, lot of arcade games, bumper cars and different attractions.  I will post those later. Just on a layover back in the States now. The pinball style games shown can pay out money depending on how well you do.

That's cool.  Thanks for posting the pictures.  What are those machines?  How are they played?

They are quite bizarre looking, some form of slot machines? But it's a great insight to other cultures take on the Arcade over there, thanks for sharing them fella  :113:

I think they are what pinball originally was and the reason it is called pinball in the first place. You have about 10 to 20 pinballs you need to shoot with the plunger and make them fall between the appropriate metal pins to create a pattern. Something like the game Connect Four. If you create one of the winning patterns you can win a certain amount of money. I think in the USA pinball was originally associated with gambling something like this perhaps. I will post a video of game play.

Interesting.  Well, it certainly makes the name make sense:  pin-ball.  :)

Here are some photos of a larger arcade center.

Having trouble posting additional photos. Maybe I need to resize.

That looks cool.  It looks like a casino there!
