I just found some games I never knew I had. So I thought this must have happened to others and it also makes me wonder what else I have lol.

Here they are. Can anyone give me some info on them and what pc engine are they for?

Cheers

This happens to me all the time. :D

I buy bulk lots or entire collections pretty often, just because the total price is lower than individual prices of the games that I really want from the lot. Been buying that way for a long time. Sometimes I re-sell the rest of the games right away but they usually just get stashed away somewhere to sell off 'later'. I have boxes hidden all over the house/garage full of random, long lost games. The worst is buying a game online then discovering afterwards that I already had it sitting in a box in the closet.  >:(

I only recognize a couple of those HuCards but they're definitely PC Engine games and would work on any of the PC Engine or Duo-R console variations. You'd need an adapter to play them on a TurboGrafx or TurboDuo.

WOW! What a find!!!  :o

As Tom said they are Japanese Hu-Cards, I think I know what a few of them are.

Top left is Splatterhouse, underneath that is Final Lap Twin I think and next to that is Ninja Spirit and then Twinbee (not 100% sure though)

You'd need a HuCard region adapter for that one ($$)... that system will only play US or EU HuCards.

You need to find some variation of the Japanese PC Engine. I think the Core Grafx are the cheapest model. Bare systems usually sell for ~$50 US:

If you decide to spend more, there are lots of great CD games. The Japanese Duo-R is the most reliable CD console at ~$200 US... it plays either Japanese HuCards or CDs from any region.

It's very difficult to get a Jap PC Engine over here and they usually cost £££

As THIS search tells you!

There is an auction for the adapter HERE but its not cheap either. I have seen them go for a lot less than this though, I was watching one a while ago that I got out bid on and it went for just under £50. It's a shame there isn't somebody making these cheaply.

The Core Grafx auction that I linked is a large Japanese retro seller and it looks like postage to UK or US is the same. I've dealt with a lot of the Japanese ebay sellers and never had a problem... just need to be patient for delivery. It's much cheaper to import directly from Asia. That auction will probably close for $50-$60 since there are no games. (plus $19 postage)

And customs charges when it gets here (about £25) and you will need to buy a stepdown converter to use it too.

There's a few on eBay when I searched in the UK already:

I had a PCE GT for a while that I picked up for £80, would love a LT but they go for stupid money!

You definitely need a step down converter (or alternate power supply) and an NTSC capable display.

But, I've never been charged customs fees on games/systems from Asia. I think they always note the packages as a personal gift and declare the value below the US customs limit regardless of the actual price. I don't know about importing from Asia into the UK, but they seem to work around the US fees.

Weird how I didn't see those when I searched  :-

Some much better deals there anyway, a basic model for £40 is pretty reasonable.

If you don't want to bother with a step down converter, this site sells decent 120/240V compatible power supplies for PC Engine and other consoles:

Thats a great auction!!!

Good to know about the MD adaptor but you also need to know which one as the MD1 and MD2 use different power supplies.
