Id Software made this free to downloaded for IOS on the AppStore for the 20th anniversary, had to grab it. Still a great game and the one that really launched the FPS genre that is still going strong today.

It's a great vid and yes it's also still a great game, nice to hear the Jaguar version mentioned too.

There's no way I can listen to that voice for over 20 minutes  :P

I played Wolfenstein 3D back in the day but I think I was too young to really "get" it. I haven't played it again since either. No mouselook.

[align=center:3oy872i5]Thought I would give this thread a bump for this very nice video I just came across:

Super Nintendo Vs Atari Jaguar - Wolfenstein 3D Gameplay[/align:3oy872i5]

And the Jaguar wins this battle.  The SNES version is garbage and I'm surprised it looks that bad.  PC, of course, is classic but the Apple version looks pretty darned good too.

The 3DO version, of course, trounces both of them. :P

Agreed! Graphics wise the Jag version is just as good, but the music and the ability to strafe using the L and R buttons on the 3DO version take it over the top!

64bitRuss

The Jag version is best! You can strafe in the Jag version too, on a controller much more comfortable and reliable than the 3DO jalopy! It looks like the Jaguar version has different graphics on the weapons, especially the chaingun which is HUGE on the screen and I like that alot.

You can also save your game in the Jag version, does the 3DO do that?

I know for certain that I can boot up the Jag game and start playing while the 3DO is still adjusting its laser.  :71:

just playin, but seriously, we need a Jaguar vs 3DO topic, or is there already one?
