Kickstarter: Commodore 64: a visual Commpendium (Second edit
« on: January 18, 2016, 22:08:08 PM »

Introduction

In 2014 we launched a campaign for our first book called Commodore 64: a visual Commpendium. This celebration of the finest C64 games and graphics was published later the same year to considerable critical acclaim. Later that year we launched a campaign for the second book in the compendium series called Commodore Amiga: a visual Commpendium which again was successfully funded and published in early 2015.

Due to the increased funding, the Amiga book weighed in at 424 pages, nearly twice the size of the C64 book (220 pages) and contained significantly more editorial content such as artist interviews and developer profiles. Ever since this, the original C64 book has felt a little 'dwarfed' by its big brother, so this campaign is to bring the C64 book more in line with the Amiga volume. This campaign is not intended to replace the first book, but to add to it and make it more extensive.

How it will work

To respect the original backers and customers of the Commodore 64 book, our solution is to produce a second edition of the book with additional content. This will come in a 3mm board slipcase, with a space for the first book to slot next to it. It's been designed so there is no need to re-purchase the first edition again to get the extra content.

This has to be some sort of god dam record? It was funded within 7 hrs of opening, that has to be a kick starter funeder record, it was a given that this would shine like a light saber, I didn't back the first book as I never owned a c64, but highly respect the work, and no need to wish them the best of luck, they have the touch of Midas to begin with.

Cracking stuff.
