I've been lurking about for a while now (mostly via Tapatalk on Android, so I'm not sure if this forum would even have registed my "logins"), but never properly introduced myself.

My name is Greg, I live in Pittsburgh, PA, USA, I'm 45, and I've been playing video games since 1979 when our father bought us our first Atari VCS (as it was known at the time).  Our parents were somewhat indulgent, so over the years growing up we had the VCS, a NES, a TurboGraphx, and an Atari 7800 on the console side, and a TI-99/4a, a Commodore 64, a Commodore 128, and an Amiga 2000 on the computer side.

I became a proper collector when I bought my own Sega Genesis while off at college, in 1989.  Since then I've been gaming either on the PC or on various consoles and portables.

My current collection includes an Atari 7800, Intellivision, Colecovision, NES, SNES, Genesis + SegaCD + 32X + Power Base Converter, Vectrex, and N64 in storage.  I play these via emulation when the mood really strikes, keeping the originals to make myself feel better (I DO own the original games after all).

Hooked up to my gaming TV are the Jaguar, Saturn, Dreamcast, XBox, Wii, PS3 (back-compatible model), XBox 360, and XBox One.  The Jaguar and Saturn (the most retro of this grouping) are hooked up via RGB cables through an XRGB-Mini.  The Dreamcast is hooked up via a VGA box to a VGA->Component transcoder, although I'm tempted to rewire the VGA box to output SCART and use the Mini instead (my fear is that my soldering skills aren't up to the task).  I'm also *this* close to getting the necessary RGB cables to take the Genesis out of mothballs, but that would be an interesting conversation with the wife when the SegaBeast suddenly made an appearance in the entertainment room.

There's also an Atari Lynx, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS for portables.

I USED to have a TurboDuo as well, but that seems to have gotten lost (sad story); really wish I still had that one.

So I'm not the MOST obsessed/dedicated gamer out there, but it's enough for some to say I have a problem. :)
