I'm a newbie here and always been a fan of retro games.
Not sure where I'd post what I want to ask but I have dug out two old IBM PC games, dragon spirit and golden axe. Was just wondering if anyone knew the value of these?

I also have loads more retro games from my childhood and will share on here as soon as I can sort them all....think I need retro weekend :-)

Welcome aboard!  How did you find RVG?  We do have a section for retro computers but not one for PC gaming.  Maybe we need to add one.  :)

Welcome! Enjoy the site :)

Collectors may be interested, but those are both on the freeware/abandonware sites right now.  Abandonia has them both, I think..

Welcome!! Those are fun games by the way.   If it's the older version of Golden Axe it has PC speaker sound and the possibility of Sound Blaster music.  I really like that game.
And all the Who's down in Whoville will cry
"OH $#IT!"

Hi. It's a great site, Really enjoying it you are all doing a great job.
It's the Virgin version of the game so I think that's the original as there's a Tronx(I think) version on eBay which is buy it now for £400... Think that's wishful thinking though.
My prized possession is a sealed version of clock tower for the ps1. Also have rule of rose in mint condition on the ps2.

I have to say I'm a novice compared to the folk on rvg...some of the collection are out of this world.

Glad you like the site!  :)

Welcom joeyjoe! I am an old school PC gamer myself, now getting back into a lot of these old games via GOG, glad to have you here.

Also, I think a retro pc gaming sub-forum might not be a bad idea with the way GOG is going these days.  Part of the reason I signed up here is that a lot of the gaming forums are full of kids (as opposed to older gamers who played these consoles when they were current), and I kind of get the same feel from a lot of the PC gaming forums.  It couldn't hurt to try it out.
