Question to Retromod

I have a scart output only for my ZX spectrum, I wanted tap an RCA video out from it. I managed to get a very clear picture, but only in Black and White. I tried making a resistance ladder with the R,G,B luma outs to GND but I could not do anything.

I have a cheap adapter on order but wondered if you knew why or how I could hack a solution?

what kind of spectrum model? there seems to be differences. The spectrum has an builtin TEA2000 chip which offers all kind of signals starting from composite video to chroma/luma. Not clear for me - as you only specified the connector type - is what kind of signal you try to archieve: composite, component or RGB?

there is only RGB but I wanted to get a colour signal by connecting one RCA for video.
