I'm hoping to put a few hours into this next week. I've been looking forward to playing it again since I first saw your Halloween section  8)

I particularly like smacking the monsters into the wall with the baseball bat (I'm not imagining that am I?).

Nice review btw.

This is definitely an excellent game. I also like the sequel, Splatterhouse 3 but it is a little different.  Nonetheless, great games for Halloween.

Thanks for the kudos on the review.  :)

I've only ever played the first game. I bought the Splatterhouse game that came out for last gen consoles a while back, solely because the original 3 games are also on the disc. Only problem is the modern game sucks and I couldn't even stand playing it long enough to get to the point where you unlock the original games :)

Well, that sucks Shadowrunner.  I've never played the original (I don't have the console it was released for) but the two I have area really good games.

It's a mystical thing that I don't really dabble in too much anymore. Only for arcade nowerdays

With been a massive fan of the original arcade game, when I discovered that Namco where bring a sequel to the a Sega Megadrive, while owning a Super Nintendo at the time, I was fuming with Jealously and was considering did I make a mistake choosing the SNES? As it appeared that the Megadrive was getting all these x-rated type titles, while I had fucking Kirby land to look forward too!

It wasn't till I arrived at Emulation central did I have to wait before finally playing this excellent sequel and most definitely worth the wait, I have this game on all devices I have with emulation capabilities and one I love to return too time and time again, it's very strange that Namco never done a second arcade game based on the Splatter House franchise ? It must of been too scary for the gaming audience over in Japan possible, as the haunted room in the first still game gives me the spooks even today when I have revisit it, but yes Spatter House 2 was a fantastic sequel and captured what made spatter house so good in the first place.

Your review is spot on, couldn't of said it better myself :113:

Well I've discovered the best way to beat the first boss.
I was originally trying to dodge his attacks but I found that standing right next to him delivering an onslaught of left hooks is most effective, lol.
