Great video and insight to a franchise I was unfamiliar with. Might look into the pc version but definitely not on PS4 with the online only stuff. My connection here is as reliable as the rear bumper on a Ford Pinto in a collision

Unfortunately all versions are "online only". Sorry that you didn't catch that :( Even so, the PC version is definitely the best, in every aspect! ;)

Yeah but my connection at work is by a different ISP (more reliable) and playing on PC there is possible whereas, not so much w/ my PS4 lol

That was a GREAT video. Made my day listening to all those details about the games and the companies behind them. Had no idea about the work conditions surrounding Metro. I have 2033 & Last Light but have never played them. Also have Alien Isolation, Dead Space 1/2 and The Suffering but they're still on the shelf waiting their turns. Don't even know if I can stomach playing Isolation. That atmosphere scares the sh*t outta me. Love it!

Silent Hill 2 was one of my favorites back in 2001. Dude's dead wife looked just like my live wife at the time and I remember when we played through we were both shocked at that. And Pyramid Head lol. That guy was... terrifying :p
But those nurses.. Dayum :D

I love those horror movies too. Actually had turned one off bc it was making me sick earlier then I saw your vid had been posted. Great stuff 8)

I don't think I ever played the Amiga version - well, I can't remember it if I did, anyway.

But I played a lot on the Spectrum version. I loved that game. Super polished.

I've checked world of Spectrum's database and they have no record of it either, so maybe Sokurah has made mistake or he remembers another top down racer?

Only 2 years too late (I never look in this thread) but I was referring to Myth and not Micro Machines. ;)

When I first experienced videogames on the ZX Spectrum, I was always fascinated with the loading screens, even ending up memorizing every single detail!
So, here’s a small taste of a few ZX Spectrum loading screens that keeps popping in my mind for these last 30 years!

20 Years of Tomb Raider - It's a Pixel THING - Ep. 104

Interesting history. I bought the 1st game a week after it came out for the PS1 and still have it along with all my saves. Tomb Raider 2 is my all time favorite. The sharks were nicely done visually and in AI. Brought a whole new level of anxiety to gaming ;) A couple of games in there I hadn't heard of. Stopped playing around Angel of Darkness as that game looked like the rock bottom splat of a downward spiral. May have to check the rest of them out.

Yeah, Tomb Raider II is also my favorite from the original trilogy :)
Please, check the more recent installments by the hands of Crystal Dynamics! :)

Some great finds. I was disappointed in SSX for PS3. Had high hopes when I ordered it but after playing for a couple days, tossed it in the pile and moved on. Just didn't have the great characteristics of the original 3 games on PS2.
May look around for Need For Speed Hot Pursuit bc of this video. Looked fun 8)

Yep, I felt the exact same way about SSX on the PS3. I was really looking forward to it but it just didn't click with me for some reason.

Yeah, and it's a shame. That was one of my favorite franchises but that abysmal iteration is really a tragic addition to what was once some epic gaming. Seemed like the dialogue was geared toward 10 year olds while the challenge in some of the upper levels could only be beaten by experts. But, I guess if I played long enough it could be second nature. Just couldn't tolerate it anymore lol.
