Oops! Any certain game I should show on the screen?

Lorfarius

Whatever shows it off at its best? Def a 128 game!

WiggyDiggyPoo

Why is the 128 so big! Did they move something inside like the power supply?

I do not have any C128 games but will double check. I have the tutorial and a Commodore CPM operating disk. I can see if they have anything on them that might show the system strengths.

Sadly I used it mostly for my C64 needs. Back then a company called Blue Chip was releasing an IBM/Commodore Hybrid. I was trying to save for it and never upgraded my library for the 128.

No, it has a power brick similar to the 64 and Vic-20. Never opened one up. Wonder if it had to do with the C64 backwards compatibility? Needing extra space for that.

WiggyDiggyPoo

Ah right no worries.... Despite the larger size I do prefer the look of it to the C64

It is great question, WiggyDiggyPoo!

At the time it was an amazing feature among my friends to boot up into C64 mode. In 1985, we still had fresh memories of Colecovisions oversized Atari adaptor. Here was this Commodore 128 system out of the box, that was able to boot from two different operating systems. Even my Atari 800/1200 computer friends were impressed.

Looking back now it would have been a better choice to just get a 64 but I never have regretted owning one and thank my parents for getting a 128.

Just to cut in, I actually think the C128 looks like the 8-bit version of the Amiga a500 in the design aesthetics and remember seeing lots of these on computer store shelves , so why are they so expensive to get a hold off? And considering what the c64 was capable off, I'd love to see some exclusive C128 games on screen to do a comparison from its C64 brother.

And have to say you have the kit in mint condition there Ontinice :113:

What  8 bit version of the Amiga!

You've got me confused and excited now, is there is an Amiga I didn't know about?  post in the Amiga thread if you can so as not to derail this[emoji6]
