Yes, after a big change of plan over the last few weeks, I've decided not to take my book to Kickstarter, instead I've gone the 'soft' launch route and put it for sale via Amazon Createspace and my WEBSTORE

The bad news is the hardback version is no longer happening, but the goods news is I received my paperback edition this week and it's mighty fine! A hefty beast of Lemmings goodness with vibrant images and colours throughout. The other goods news for most of you especially International buyers is that postage will be alot cheaper than what i could have offered (UK buyers its around the same for us) so alot of people save on the price! Along with getting the book 6 months earlier

For those just visiting, here's some more Information regarding the book;

304 Pages -  full colour throughout.
Paperback Edition 8.5" x 8.5" (21.6cm) Square.
PDF Version available too.
33,000+ Words
1,000+ Screenshots
100+ High Quality DSLR Box Shots.
DMA Design Interview - Mini Interview with 3 original members of the DMA Design team.
Level Map/Sprite Images - hundreds of images of level maps with level names along with sprite bank pages.

Delighted that you now have showcased the Lemmings book, firstly I want personally wish you the very best of luck with it and hope people are smart enough to help you reach your goals with it on the kickstarter  ;) and I think this is going to be one of the highly rated ones and was delighted to help with its previews image.

Thanks for finally opening the mystery on this one, and you see you as a backer come February 2015. Any chance of a signed copy when it ships?

And if and when you create your video promo for the book, I'll be sure to add it to my YouTube channel and facebook page for you.

Just Posted it on the RVG Facebook page for you, so lots of people will see it now ;)

I am sure it will grow and grow pal.. I ain't done much yet pal but i will..

Do you think the reprints idea is not closing all your hardwork? i am sure you could sell the rights on if needed?

That's something i have thought very carefully about, i have to realistic also, retro books are niche sellers, and they are even more niche tied to just one subject, in this case Lemmings.

I love collectable stuff, so for me having a limited print run of the book will not just hopefully make people want the physical book and therefore hopefully make the kickstarter succeed, but give people a limited edition gaming book.

The book will continue to be sold as a PDF after the kickstarter for any aftersales of course. But the physical book will be just the limited printrun of that one order.

I think that's the best way too, being limited creates demand. Just look at what happened with your Gizmondo book, as soon as people knew this was the last chance to get it sales soared!

zapiy

Actually thats a very valid point fella.. Proves you have indeed thought this through..

Great stuff..

Some good news for the book, Russell Kay (PC Coding, DMA Design) and Tim Wright (Aka CoLD SToRAGE) (Music) have sent me their interview reply's, that brings it to 4 people now, I'll try and get 1-2 more by the 1st December (deadline day!) I'll be cramming Russell and Tim's responses into the book soon.

Surprise news from the other day!

http://t.co/Bswspq4MgB

Bit of a coincedence that after all these years Sony have done NOTHING with merchandising for Lemmings in nearly 20 years then 4 days after i announce my Lemmings book they come out with this!

Will have to be careful what i use for my perks now, dont want Sony jumping down my back!
