Quote from: "dra600n"Sorry for the delay on the tutorial. I'll try to get something up this weekend for it before I leave for vacation.

Theloon, which ones are you referring to? Let me know which ones specifically and I'll recreate them :)

I guess the second roadblock for me is somehow my sprites always end up with a different palette  than the one I want to use.  Weird, frustrating things like the sprite data shifting the pixel color by one in the DATA statement.

That issue was the last excuse I used to work on other projects rather than  using BEX.  Maybe explaining how to use your BEX pixel art tool or just how to deal with Imagenesis would do some newbies good.

dra600n

Interesting. Do you have an example of this happening? Imagenesis is pretty straight forward, though maybe you didn't select a transparent color? I can definitely write up a "how to" for that. As for my graphic editor, I can't access the source code at the moment (it's stuck on a virtual machine, and VMware won't install on my desktop - I'll attempt to install it on my laptop, and if I can get it working, I'll make  do some much needed updating on my editor and release it again for download)

Thanks, dawg!  Just going to bed but I'll definitely read through it!

It's been so long since I picked up BEX that I forgot the exact point of failure.  This makes me wanna pick it up again and figure out where the sprite/tile exporting process went fubar for me :)

Thanks fella, going to have a play next week.

Indeed sir. New England, if that helps at all :p

There's been a bit of a delay in the tutorial as I needed to recode my graphic editor, which will be available before the tutorial is finished so those who want to remake the graphics will have an easier time.

Here's a video demonstration of it so far: http://youtu.be/C9mgDcfSaRA

Aside from some features, I just have to rewrite the save and loading features, so I'm hoping it's finished in the next week. I hope people are excited as I am for the editor to be finished :)

dra600n

I began writing the tutorial today :P
