Well, that year.Â I had been begging for an Atari VCS since 1978, and a couple of years later, I got an Intellivision.Â I loved it, of course, but I never got that Atari.Â Consequently, my nostalgia-fueled obsessions--and to some extent, my social alliances--were henceforth set in stone.

By 1982, I had been spending an inordinate amount of time at my neighbor's house "playing with" (read: using) his C=64, and I think his parents lobbied my parents to get me my own darn computer! :lol:

Although I am currently stuck on the netherworld between the 8- and 16-bits of the Intellivision, my heart pumps blood of an 8-bit shade or red, and truly belongs to the C=64.
