Failed Console Mascots!

Some good games featured on that video, but the guy that reviews stuff is an idiot. He clearly has no clue about how to play scrolling beat em ups if he thought Captain Commando has a limited moveset! 

I am more concerned at the fact it's was an arcade game first, so should not be on a console list!

How the hell did Bubsy not make this list? And what about Aero The Acrobat, Clockwork Knight or BOB?

That's a game I've always enjoyed, both versions of it.

Here is a mascot that hasn't been mentioned... Mr. Nutz!  Despite the game being a rather good platformer, its main character didn't seem to catch on.

Probably because his name was Mr. Nutz. Really, now.

The sequel that showed up on the Amiga and almost on the sequel, however, is actually pretty interesting. First game was always way too generic for my tastes, though. Felt like Castle of Illusion without the license... or the charm.

I have to say, I always felt like Conker's Bad Fur Day was the spiritual successor to Mr. Nutz.

Alex Kidd...wonder what he's up to these days

The first game on the Master System was excellent, but he didn't make a great transition to the Genesis/Mega Drive, even though I'm sure Sega wanted him to be the "Mario killer."  If memory serves me right, it wasn't until Sonic was released that Sega really started to pull the market share away from Nintendo.
