Here is a comparison video of a game I had not heard of before, Snow Bros.  Snow Bros is a 1990 platform arcade game released in 1990 by Toaplan with gameplay that is similar to Bubble Bobble.  Let's have a look at the arcade original and at a few home ports of this game...

I am a huge fan of Snow Bros! I loved it in the arcades and hugely enjoyed playing the Game Boy version on a friends machine when I was younger. The Mega Drive version only came out in Japan and is really difficult to get hold of, which is a real shame 

I never knew that home computer versions were in development, such a shame they never came out!

It looks like a really cool game.  I found some reproductions on Ebay for the MD and the NES.
