This is very nice!  I want to get this bookazine.  Can't find it in Amazon, so I'll guess I'll to order it directly.  Congratulations on having the Jaguar article included!

Although its a cheap cash-in bunching articles from seperate Issues of retro gamer , this was the very reason why I didn't buy it, and slamming in at €15 was lousy considering I had all the content already over a collection of magazines to begin with, this is great for anyone who hasn't had the issues all ready or wants it in a slightly over priced bookazine in one place as a reference.

Yeah thats why i don't buy them and i have it all more or less in the mags..

If you have all the magazines, I agree that this is not necessarily something you'd want to spend the money on.  I don't have the issues, so this works fine for me.

Do any of these Retro Gamer bookazines include new content? I've bought most of them... in case there were any edited or new articles... but I haven't done any direct comparisons vs the monthly magazines. I have every issue of the monthly magazine so maybe the compilations are just taking up my limited shelf space?

They sometimes have a small amount but they are mostly reprints of stuff that's appeared before.

Just checked my bookshelf and I already have this Hardware Handbook and a blue background Hardware Handbook Vol. 2. Looks like this is a new 'revised edition'?? Is there a list on the front/back of the book detailing what's been revised from the old version? Not sure that I want to re-purchase my compilations of re-purchased content.

Why didn't I think of that?

In case anyone is curious, from a quick comparison of the 'revised edition' against the original version it looks like:
- they've added the Channel F and removed the Wonderswan. Otherwise, same list of systems.
- a couple of the console overviews have been replaced by newer articles (like your Jaguar article) but they've kept the older 'perfect ten' games lists
- also noticed that several pictures have been removed for the 'revised edition' and page layouts were changed slightly... maybe switched to a larger font for this re-release?

Also, the blue background Hardware Handbook Vol. 2 covers a very different set of systems than this brown background Handbook. Two nice compilations with very little overlap. Wonder if they'll re-release a 'revised' edition of Vol. 2 soon?

The Atari 8-bit is a very strange omission from this edition.

Volume 2 includes overviews of the 5200, 7800, and 800xl. More Atari, less Nintendo.

Good point! The 7800 isn't in this either.

I have one of the previous ones, I need to dig it out as I am pretty sure it also has a brown cover.
