The trailer looks good but I'm not sure about the new look for Sonic. I think I like the old look better but at least it's another game for the Wii U!

Old topic but these games just came out so I thought I would give it a bump.

Just looked on Metacritic and the Wii U game is sitting at 39 and the 3DS version is at 43, so unfortunately for Sonic fans this does not appear to be the reboot the series needs! I really don't get it, how hard is it to make a decent game out of such a classic franchise? Nintendo does it all the time, maybe Sega should get them to make the next Sonic game!

Thoughts? Where do they go from here with the character?

The thing that ruined Sonic games for me is when they started introducing all the gimpy extra characters (Knuckles being the exception). I mean Cream the Rabbit, come on! From then on it just deteriorated into varying levels of crap.

Yeah that would be a hard pill to swallow for Sega fans :21:

I wouldn't mind a Sonic Adventure 3. Outside of the original 2D games they were probably the next best games in the franchise and a lot of fun.

I was flipping through the channels and caught the new cartoon. Nothing that interested me but glad to see the effort. Keeping Sonic going allows new fans to come on board and hopefully new games to be made.
