[size=140]Another new retro magazine touched down this week, in the words of the Editor:

"UDLR celebrates the culture and history of video gaming by providing unique content through quirky writing via new perspectives. For those of the modern era, it offers a glimpse into video gaming's past. For those who grew up in the era of blips, bits, blobs, and blocks, UDLR hopes to capture the best of retrogaming.

Our slogan: Video Games in Four Directions"

I can safely say that this is one of the worst magazines I have ever had the misfortune to read.

There are so many mistakes in the Jaguar article that I could shit on a page and it would be more accurate!

I am not sure why they thought doing the design in MS Paint was a good idea either!

Believe it or not, they actually used photoshop in place as I recognised the filters they used on the cover, but at least they've made an effort, and it is free too, they are officially not graphic designers , but some of the content could of being a whole lot better and full of in factual information, but some of it wasn't bad, so I recommend people to try and see through the bullshit and layout here, you might be surprised :71:

I haven't had a chance to read it yet.  I just glanced through but I will try to get to it between today and tomorrow.  Factually wrong stuff seems very common...even those videos from Time are factually wrong and that's supposed to be professional!

Well, I finally read this.  Yes, the magazine needs some work but there have certainly been worse magazines out there.  I'm not even going to talk about the accuracy of the content (though I did learn about the Sega Nomad) but I will talk about their grammar and spelling.  Goodness gracious!  They need someone to proofread their content!  The number of typos and grammatical errors had me cringing.  Then they do "multiplatform" reviews and skip the Jaguar for games like Primal Rage.  They get an A for effort (after all, I am familiar with how hard it is to come up with such a publication) but they do need improvements.

I managed to have a scan, i am not as scathing as The Laird, from my point of view i could not do better.. From a outsider point of view i would say it needs work but its a decent start for me.
