The Evolution of Retro Ice Hockey Games

Time to look at another sport and its evolution through different game systems - Ice Hockey!  As always, I'll start with the venerable Atari 2600.  Unfortunately, there's only one hockey title for the system, so not much of an evolution of the game on this system as with other sport games.  At least, this is an excellent title!

NHL Hitz is so full of quirky fun. Stuff like playing on ponds, lightning fast shooting on goal, etc. Basically, Midway took the NBA Jam approach to NHL hockey and it is a good fun game.

Does the NES have other ice hockey titles?  Or does it also have just one?

NES also has Blades of Steel by Konami. Probably more, but I do not know titles off hand.

OK, no problem.  I was just curious since for some of the sports some systems don't have many titles.

Actually, I never heard of it until looking up youtube clips under"NES hockey" search. It seems to be a more rare title for the system, and possibly a PAL only release.
