Having played both, the SMS takes the win here  :16:

Time for another game then, although sadly this thread doesn't seem to be getting much interest anymore  :46:

Let's compare Taito's classic Chase H.Q.

Well, I give my vote to the NES for this one.  In-game music, better sounds, and good graphics (though the SMS has better car sprites).

This is a close one, the NES version is pretty impressive but I have to go with the Master System, mainly for looking much more like the arcade game.

Boy, I'm having a hard time choosing here.  Part of it has to do with the voice commentary on the SMS game.  I can't tell how much music there is in-game but it does seem to be an original tune instead of music from the show.  The NES version has music that is clearly inspired by the show.  The graphics have better animation and detail on the SMS for the most part.  Some things (like the signage on the shops) look better on the NES version.  I think the SMS version may be better.

There were about 20 videos of the SMS version on You Tube and believe it or not ALL of them had bloody commentary!

Here is the music (same as in game)

Yes, I went looking myself.  It's an original tune that has a Simpson's ring to it.

Apart from the quality of the graphics there isn't much difference between these versions and for that reason alone I choose the Master System incarnation.

How about Spy vs Spy? I would put the video links in but I'm struggling to tab browse at the mo, when I swap tabs I always get a blank page lol.

For the record I'm liking the SMS version more. It seems that bit more cheerful.

I prefer the SMS version better as well.  I do need to play these.  :)
