SNES vs Sega Genesis/MegaDrive

From the look of it, it basically looks like the Super Nintendo version is playing in slow motion. That, and the music doesn't sound nearly as good, to my ears. I'm going with the Gen/MD version on this one.

Both are bad conversions, I felt disappointed when I had the SNES version as I loved the arcade game.

Never played either version.

SNES- every time the frog moves sounds like I,I,I,I,I,I,I,I,I,I,I.
I like the updated graphics.

Sega Genesis - The music, the sound effects, I feel like singing. No, not really! But I am very pleased with this version.

I thought the SNES approach of updating the graphics while keeping the same gameplay was fine.  Then the game started with its horrid sounds and lack of music.  I have no clue why it would have no music.  The Genesis port is arcade-perfect, though I would have welcomed updated graphics.  It gets my vote, though.

Mega Drive for being arcade perfect, my ears bleed hearing the SNES version and also the updated graphics are so-so.

Back to Captain America, I love this game and have played both versions. The MD versions is far superior.

Frogger - Prefer the fact the MD version is arcade perfect so that gets the vote for me.

They're a little harder to compare, since they're entirely different games. The first game, I'm assuming is based off of the movie. It looks... all right. Graphics are pretty good, as is the music. Sierra Madrock has that whole board game thing going on, which... truth be told, looks like it'd get in the way of playing the actual game. I appreciate them trying something new, but I would have preffered a normal platformer. That basically looks like what the Genesis game is, although those sound effects are horribly annoying. Game looks pretty fun, otherwise, although it's nothing amazing.

The winner: I'm going to tentatively say Genesis. Sure, the SNES version looks and sounds a lot better, but the Genesis version looks like it's a lot less brutal in difficulty.

I didn't really like the look of the first game for the SNES.  The second SNES games looks better because it is based on the  cartoon as is the Genesis version.  So, in my mind the real comparison is between those two games.  Ironically the Genesis version appears to be an upgraded version of the game for the NES (it probably is also available for the SMS).  For me the SNES wins because it appears to be a more sophisticated game.

I have Mega Drive Flintstones and it's crap, so I am giving the SNES the win there.

Justice League is a poor game on both formats but the SNES version has better sound so I will give that the win.

That Justice League game doesn't make sense to me.  Why are heroes fighting heroes?  Why is this nothing more than just another fighting game?  The SNES is the lesser of two evils here.

This game is straight up bad either way you go for it, although the SNES has some slightly better graphics and music. Shame they didn't have Capcom handle it. Even more of a shame it'd take about 18 years before we'd see an actually good DC fighter, too. And that choice of characters is absolutely mindboggling. I mean, I realize they're probably picking villians from the Justice League comic, but does anybody really know who Despero is? I know I don't.
