Sega Mega Drive - does it discolor ?

Can you guys give me any advice. I have a mint boxed UK Mega Drive but need to know if the panel where the power light sits is prone to fading ?

On this one it is a white almost cream colour when lots I have seen are grey. I cant see how it has faded since its been boxed almost all its life and is mint plus the plastic is very shiny and not like the SNES plastic.

Ive noticed this with the USA genesis version where its supposed to be a dark red or maroon color. Its now more pink/red but mine hasnt been boxed its whole life and has been very much used as i bought it that way.

However, i have seen many like this though.

That is normal mate, mine is white too.
