Great review. Enjoyed the balanced approach you took in highlighting the system's pros and cons and then summarising with your opinion based on those factors. Thank heavens for the absence of rabid fanboy fuckwittery or 'haterz gonna hate' drivel that seems to blight so may product reviews by others on Youtube.

No mention of the 'sh@games' nickname that this line of products are commonly referred to as though!

Very nice video!Â Too bad the sound emulation is so poor!Â I checked to see if I could find this and all I could find was the Sega Genesis Portable.Â I wonder if it will face the same emulation issues as this unit?

That would be the same thing, Genesis is just the US name for the Mega Drive.

That and the fact so many other existing portable gaming devices emulate Mega Drive/Genesis already. Albeit not always legally when wishing to play commercial game ROMs.

The one cool thing about this one is that you can connect it to the TV and play that way as well.Â

The likes of Caanoo, Dingoo and later revision PSPs can do that too if you have the necessary cable.

You'd need custom firmware on the latter to play game ROMs (Genesis/MD Collection excepted) and all three options wouldn't be legal when playing commerical game ROMs presumably downloaded off dodgy ROM sites.

Real men use a Sega Nomad of course.

My PSP is a 1001 model, so it won't be able to do this stuff.Â
