Gaming and theft.

No, im not talking about piracy here (yet). I was just wandering if any naughty guys and gals on here ever stole a game or two in their lifetime? Once I reached the ripe old age of 11 I was allowed to get the bus into Solihull on my own with pals. Every Saturday we would go swimming at Tudor Grange and spend the rest of the day around the town.

There used to be a John Menzies in Solihull and to our amazement they used to keep their games in the display cases. This was all the encouragement we needed, and having our kit bags to hand made the task all the more easy. Yes it was naughty  :71: but there would have been an awful lot less CPC games in my collection if I hadnt done so.

As for the piracy side, well I owned a CPC so my options were rather limited  :21:

So come on folks, nows the time to own up.

No.

Copied countless games off onto C90 at mates house, yes, but then we'd each buy a game a month and that let others copy it, but shoplifting? not a chance.

TL

Kind of, I removed the cover disks from a few mags in Smiths in back in the day!

TrekMD

I copied a couple of PC games from friends but, other than that, nope.

Going to the final frontier, gaming...

zapiy

I have removed a few games from some long gone electrical stores when I was a nipper.

That particular chair? Surely too kind for any CPC fiend?

I didnt say I loved my CPC, its just what I had  8). That said, id much rather game on that rather than a rubber keyed doorstop. I loved the C64 though.

Anyway you heathens! Being a BCFC supporter is a god given honour, stay in the dark if thou must. I no longer wish to bandy words with lesser beings such as yourselves.

Cakes.

You wait till it's wired in.If Crusto thought he had a shock seeing how much Amstrad were selling CPC's for.......

Crusto

True, the CPC was very expensive and I had the colour model too! I put it down to the probability that my family, especially my mother, were sick and tired of me hogging the lounge TV all the time when I had the 800XL. I was never particularly fond of it, or the 800 for that matter.

I do think it had the best version of Barbarian by far though, and Renegade..

Given that it seems you likely nicked 'em I can see why you'd have thought they were good!

Slagging the 800? Lethal Injection for you mate....

Ha, it was a decent enough computer but mine had dodgy tape deck after dodgy tape deck. I spent more time failing to load games than playing them.
