New Toejam and Earl game anyone?

http://kck.st/1A7hvfW

It just went up earlier today and they have a long way to go, but with one of the original creators on board it's looking pretty good :) Looks like PC only to start, but hopefully they will add other platforms as this goes on.

Will watch with interest. So many of these Kickstarter miss the same trick. They should be playing the retro trick on this from the start.

Own: Jaguar, Lynx, Dreamcast, Saturn, MegaDrive, MegaCD, 32X, GameGear, PS3, PS, PSP, Wii, GameCube, N64, DS, GBA, GBC, GBP, GB,  Xbox, 3DO, CDi,  WonderSwan, WonderSwan Colour NGPC

Shadowrunner

For me to back this they have to add consoles. Looking at the comments it seems a lot of other people are asking for this too, so hopefully they work something out. After the first day they're already almost 25% funded, good start!

Lorfarius

All depends on funding. Consoles tend to require massive license charges, for the Wii it was around £10K per game so a big title would probably be more. Might not sound like much but when you have a smaller game every penny really does count. Nothing to stop them doing the ports and changing this if they go way over the KS total.

I'm fine with a new ToeJam & Earl game as long as they don't go back to using 3d like with the third game.

Shadowrunner

TJ&E is over half funded now, looking good.

Here's another one that looks cool, and I just backed it.

It's being called a retro, arcade style, space shooter. It also only costs $1.00, can't beat that! Android, PC, and Mac to start but they might add other platforms as it goes on.

Major Rocks looks like a fun one!

Alright let's talk about this movie Buzzard that was released last weekend. The opening scene is the main character getting so pissed at his Powerglove that he destroys it by repeatedly bashing it against a table (he later converts it into a Krueger-esque weapon of destruction). Anyway the movie is totally badass, but even more badass is that they are kickstarting a retro-style video game based on the movie. Definitely worth a look, the pitch video is hilarious: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/po ... video-game

edit:Link fixed for you in the mean time , why not say hello in the Introductions Section

Shadowrunner

Welcome to the site, I've never heard of that movie, but it does sound interesting. Your link doesn't seem to work for me, but I found the project here https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/po ... video-game

Had to post with it been both a part of our video game culture of the time and being one of the best films of all time, this deserves to be supported to enable us to get a real insight to what made these films so great, well the first and third lol.

Yes there has been a get kickstarter started in order to finish of a full length feature documentary based on the Back to the Future series which promises exclusives with the actually cast and director Robert Zemeckis in celebration of Back to the Future's 30th Anniversary this October.

If your fan and were unaware of this, please support it, I have and can't wait to see what's in store, dam shame nobody was able o create a quality Back to the Future game back in the day, minus the Tell Tale adventures, so it looks like I'll have to make do with the Japanese Snes version of Back to the Future or the Imageworks back to the future 2 game :)

Read all about the kickstarter here and lets get back in time.

Shadowrunner

Cool project, and yeah, what Lorfarius said! I'd take the second movie over the third any day!

Hi everyone!  :111:

Each level will be set in a different venue, including Comic Cons, Sci-Fi Expos, Anime Conventions, and other settings. The game will be fast paced, rendered in pixel art, and initially released for the PC platform. Here's a screenshot:
