Some of those scores are bad, particularly when taking into the games that are getting the low ratings.

The Rygar one baffled me, how they can say that game has rubbish graphics is a complete mystery!!!  :13:

Maybe the reviewer was pissed off at Atari for some reason.

Those Bytesized reviews were just filler type reviews to myself, few lines, a score, no reviewer name etc.Very hard to take seriousily esp.since C+VG was going through (another) dire patch back then.

To slag off Rygar's graphics, well i honestly wonder just how much time reviewer spent on the game.

Rygar 46%?

What a joke. One of my favorite Lynx games. Of the people that started getting into the Lynx around the same time I did I know they all like Rygar. We kind of shared our experiences, and everyone was happy with that game.

Some very early stuff about the Atari Lynx in ACE magazine!

Rogue Trooper

Quote from: "The Laird"Ok everyone I have just spent a couple of hours scanning in lots of Lynx stuff so it's time to post some!

First off are scans from my favourite magazine of the Lynx era, Game Zone

Thread bump, seeing as how Pacland seemed to tip the apple cart, reviews wise on Lynx, i wondered how it fared on other formats around that era.

Found C+VG mini-review of it on PC Eng. they gave it 79%, saying it became a bit montonous after a while.

Rogue Trooper

Bit of UK industry reaction at the time (July '89) to Atari's Handy:

Peter Molyneux (Then of Bullfrog fame) admitted he'd never seen anything like it and Blue Lightning impressed him.

Stewart Bell, Microprose UK boss described it as ' The most exciting thing i've seen since i've been in the industry'.

Praise was great, just crying shame they never saw fit to support the machine, which it needed a lot more than kind words.

TrekMD

"All show, no substance" for STUN Runner?!  I'm guessing they didn't like the arcade version either.

Suppose you'd also be wanting my GO! collection (sadly not complete, but have 9 issues in physical form), plus the 2 issues of Gamezones Massive (pull out handheld magazine)?.

If i send this lot, it'd have to be recorded delivery.
