Any fans of this game?  It was quite novel.  Having an ED-209 type machine to control(hence the "Walker").  You could get two people to control it co-operatively.  One controlling the movement and the other controlling the guns.  The "overheat" function on the guns was unique as well.  It did add to the difficulty.  Just a shame about the ending.  Quite a different spin on the shoot 'em-up genre.

The game starts at the 1:28 mark.

Like! Did they ever make any sequels?

Doesn't really look like my kind of game, but I might put it on the CF card one day and try it out.

When I boughtt my A500 it actually came with the box for this game but it was empty.

Reminds me of the Chicken Walkers from Star Wars. Mindless destruction and you look cool doing it.

Katzkatz

Those AT-AT and the AT-ST walker things from Star Wars you mean?  Yep, I see the similarity.

Sadly there were no sequels.  A shame.  It probably could be a game that would be worthy of a re-make.  That might be interesting.

I never knew of this one so thanks again for posting it Katzkatz!

Greyfox

ahh yes Walker was a classic on the Amiga back in 1993, this game proved how original design and violence could go beautifully together hand in hand, great sfx, great gfx, but man it was as tuff as nails, plus it came on 3 disks, the later levels are just impossible to complete, no matter how good you are, a trainer is recommended for this great game..8/10 from me..

and yes this game deserves a 2013 facelift, but please not in 3D, if I want 3D I'll play Mech Warriors..thanx Katz for the worth mention :)

nakamura

I remember this. I didn't think it was amazing but certainly good fun. Looks like an ideal game to be ported to XBLA/PSN.

Rogue Trooper

Thread bump but reading old issue of The One, 'Better By Design' Feature, D.M.A interviewed , Walker mentioned and they said they were working on both SNES and MD versions.Gutted we never saw a release on SNES or MD.

:-(

I loved this game! It was like having ED-209 shooting Lemmings  :21:
