Ohhh, that's not good.

I'm shocked the Master System put out such a game.  Against Mission X on the Intellivision and Ace of Aces on the 7800. F-16 really looks outclassed.

Jez San on SFX chip 2:

Offers a 30% speed improvement on the 1st SFX chip, delivers same power as 20 MHz 386 PC

On Vortex (or Citadel as it was then originally known)

Game places 3D Polygon graphics over bitmapped backdrops to allow for total freedom of movement...your craft is made up of 90 polygons...some objects have texture mapping.

Pretty simple wire frame 3D but sill impressive for the hardware, Star Wars on the ColecoVision:

Never played the ColecoVision version. Looks really good.

Rogue Trooper

Quite surprised to see the MD version of Hard drivin' being the version Gamestm classed as the version you should have played (in their Conversion Catastrophe look at the C64 version) and they claim it was faster than the coin-op.

1)I'd have thought the Atari Lynx version would be the Def.home conversion and 2) I've always been under the impression the MD version ran at a sloth like pace.

I posted the Lynx version already in this thread but here they are side by side:

The MD version is actually impressively fast but the controls are a little too sensitive. The Lynx version does have a better frame rate and less pop-up because it is scaling the graphics rather than redrawing them.

Looking back I feel sorry for that cow.

Rogue Trooper

Blimey.MD H.D is a lot better than i expected, so maybe Gamestm nailed this one, for once, lol

Nah, Lynx version is still superior.

The Lynx might have got Hard Drivin' but seems the Game Boy got Race Drivin'  :13:

Shadowrunner

That's actually really impressive for the old gameboy!

That Gameboy version is quite unbelievable!
