Had this on the C64, played at decent lick, awesone music, but i could never get thar far in with it.

Speccy version (assuming 48K ver here) great title music, but poor in-game audio, sprites are nicely detailed, great size, but not keen on the boxes around them, nor the 'ripple' from the screen.

CPC-best looking version overal, but man, sloth like or what? when he jumps it's like he's in a low gravity enviroment.

Going to go for C64 based on speed and audio.

Matey's sound in the video, all over the shop, back off the Mic chap!.

Any chance of Rod Land and Xybots in future 8 Bit comparisons?.

I really liked Rastan on the Spectrum, great memories of it.

I will look those games up RT.

I've never heard of Rastan but then I came to video gaming late lol. Nice video showing off the different versions, one gets a real sense of what it was like all those years ago. I've never produced a video, what software did you use/what is an easy way of doing something similar?
For the record, Alien verses Predator on the Atari Jaguar holds a Guinness World Record!

To remove any awkwardness, I have mesothelioma. I don’t seek sympathy, just acceptance. Thanks

I didn't make it, although I do make videos myself. I make pretty simple ones using Windows Movie Maker but to make ones with recorded game footage you need a video capture device.

Thanks, I was thinking Win MM was an option for a mash-up. I will have a go when I eventually get this place done up and organised (new flat).

Rogue Trooper

Been playing lot of Rastan on Taito Legends on Xbox etc of late, i utterly suck at the game, yet love it.

Anyone know where i can grab the ARCADE music from? have various covers of the C64 tunes, but nothing quite matches the arcade music.

Rogue Trooper

Looking more for music on MP3 i can download, but ta anyway.

I can rip that for you if you want it. That is how I get most game music, rip it from You Tube.

Dude! Rip the t*ts off her, lol.I sooooo want that music.

Zzap 64 slaughtered the C64 version at review:

Overall 42%:an inconsistent, unrewarding and often dull arcade conversion (and they only gave the sound a score of 67%? harsh!).

Havantgottaclue

I think I got this on a compilation for the C64. Excellent sound and reasonable graphics aside, it was one of the weaker titles. The controls felt woolly and the collision detection indistinct.
