For me, I'm gonna have to submit the original Bloody Roar, for PS1. A lot of the character designs aren't great, I admit. The later games in the series generally play a lot better. And a lot of people will tell you that the series is basically a mashing fest. (These people are wrong and have no clue what they're talking about.)

For me, though, it's a game that just FEELS so good to play. It's a game about two angry as hell werepeople beating the crap out of each other, and the game knows just how powerful two such people would be. The hits sound meaty, big hits send people slamming into the wall, there's so many painful looking throws and moves... and the soundtrack. It's seriously a game I could play again and again and never get sick of.

For me it is always the first game I play for a system. Combat on the 2600, Speedway - Odyssey 2, Pac-Man - 5200, BurgerTime - Intellivision, Tecmo Bowl - Nes, Lemonade Stand - Apple II, Bonks Adventure - TG-16 (thankfully it came with Bonk and Keith Courage) Diddy Kong Racing - N64.

Some were pack-in games. My Nes was the basic model and Tecmo Bowl was my first game. Apple II brings back school days.

Something that I will never forget is the feeling of playing a new video game for the first time. That always makes me smile.

Another one I thought of is A.P.B, this game has such great humour and a wonderful style to it. Can't help but make you smile!

Also Rampage, especially if you get a couple of friends to join you for some 3-player action, much hilarity will soon prevail!

Here are two Intellivision games that always make me smile:

Super Chef Burgertime for the Intellivision
Between the wacky characters chasing you and the randomness of the mazes, it's just plain fun.

Spina The Bee
ZZZZ! - Spina the Bee for the Intellivision
The bee sound/music brings a smile to my face.  It just works great![/align:28pz2f7i]

Attack of the Mutant Penguins makes me smile.  Just the absurdity of it all!   :4:

A game that always makes me smile is Christmas Carol and the Ghost of Christmas Presents.  Some of the cut scenes are rather funny.

Here is another one I just thought of, Road Riot 4WD in the arcades by Atari.

The character names are pretty funny and the gameplay is just insane, especially in multiplayer mode. I so wish they had done a Jaguar conversion of this:

Cryptic33

180! - Atari XL/XE

180 by Mastertronic always did it for me. The music and characters were not far from what you actually see today as the game hasn't changed much. It was also great fun to play :1:
For the record, Alien verses Predator on the Atari Jaguar holds a Guinness World Record!

To remove any awkwardness, I have mesothelioma. I don’t seek sympathy, just acceptance. Thanks

I'm gonna have to plump for the Outrun 2 series of games, specifically Coast 2 Coast on the PS2/PSP. I know those systems aren't retro but Outrun 2 itself is closer to being 'retro'.

I'd also nominate the arcade versions of Sega Rally and (especially) Daytona USA.

Well, the title alone makes you laugh!  LOL

Getting Atari 5200 Kangaroo from my step-sister Jeannie. Fun game.
I also remember being blown-away by Atari 5200's Pac-Man, too.
