I tried out the MSX Collection Volume 2 for the PS1 last night. It's a Japan only release, and there are some real gems on here! I played TwinBee, Super Cobra, Gradius 2, and Knightmare, and there's still another 6 games on the disc too. Very impressed with these games!

Is Mega Man Maverick Hunter X for the PSP retro enough yet? It gets a bit of a pass being a remake of Mega Man X.

Sadly, it isn't a patch on the original. Terrible voice acting, soulless 2.5D graphics, and the music is boring and generic. Boo!

Well, no, it isn't - yet - but the game sort of is being a remake.

In other news, I completed Exed Exes (PSP compilation of arcade games on the Vita) and it's one of the worst games I've ever played.

Over the weekend I played Blazing Lazers and Ordyne on the TG16, 36 Great Holes Golf on the 32X, and Fatul Fury Special and Art of Fighting 2 on the Neo Geo :)

Over the last couple of days ihave been playing Fantasy Zone on the Sega Ages Saturn version, damn good game and especially like the fact you can change the rapid fire settings in the extra options screen. Also been playing strikers 1945 2 also on the saturn and i think i prefer the original to it,then finished off last night playing ESWAT on the Ultimate megadrive collection and the arcade version of shinobi also on U.M.C.

I've recently been playing Tempest 2000 on my Jaguar and Thunderforce V on the Saturn (my skills on Thunderforce are...lacking!  I'd forgotten what true bullet hell games were like :-) )

You're the second person to recently mention that game for the GC.  I think I'm going to look into it.  The videos make it look quite fun.

So i finally had the opportunity to play my atari 2600. Played frogger with my girlfriend who unfortunately beat me on every attempt. I think further practice is required here! Addictive game though.

Oh Frogger is definitely one addicting game and it does appeal to women.  Keep practicing, though.  You should check the Starpath version, though you'll need a Supercharger or a Harmony cart to play it.
