Played this with my new Saturn controller.

The game.....meh, not a lot to say about it except for one bug that I encountered. On the level "Trashing the Camp" I kept finishing the level with 99% over and over again and couldn't figure out why. I eventually watched a couple of videos and found that in a different version (PS1) there were 3 coins where I only saw 1 - turned out they were actually there but invisible. So I was able to get 100% completion but that was lame.

Glad the controller is being put to the test.

I enjoy N64 games but some do seem more frustrating then on Playstation. Thanks for sharing your findings. :113:

Some other games I've been playing this week! They're so much fun!

Quote from: "Bartjaah"I've been playing a little bit of Wacky Wheels. I'm still finishing up on the last few levels (last world) of The Lost Vikings (which I loved and didn't know that it was so challenging). And I'm planning to play some Lego Racers, Blake Stone, Aladdin and Lion King (PC).

Oooh, Wacky Wheels! Excellent choice. I remember having a lot of fun with that, particularly the duck shooting minigame.

Lately, I've been playing a ton of X-COM, which I am absolute ass at. I mean, I know how to play... at least, I think I do, but I'm basically getting murdered all the time. Even on Beginner, it's a really hard game, especially when you have like ten guys on a squad that can't aim for crap. It's an interesting game, though, and one that's been getting me more into these sort of squad-based tactical strategy games. I also picked up the remake, which is good, but it just feels so... odd, to me.

I mean, it's so... helpful, and explanatory! I can't handle how well designed it is! I feel scared when I have some idea of what I'm doing! I need an adult!

This weekend I spent a while played the original Mega Man for the first time.

I'd played Mega Man X (also the for the first time) a few weeks ago and enjoyed it, and since the NES MM games are cheap on the Wii U VC at the moment it was rude not to pick some up. I've bought Mega Man II as well, which I'll make a start on soon.

And I did. Been playing Mega Man II a bit the last few days. It's a LOT easier than the first game.

Except this bit:

I'm not sure why, but the graphics don't seem as good as the first game either. The bosses are definitely less impressive. And having two pages of weapon select menus is annoying.

Onto Mega Man 3 now. They really expected more of the wee NES with this one, didn't they? So many big sprites at once. So much flickering. So much slowdown...
