TrekMD

Quote from: "The Laird"I spent the whole afternoon playing Theme Park

First the Saturn version until I realised how much better the Jaguar version is and changed over to that!

I didn't realize that title had been released for other consoles.  I thought it was a Jaguar game only.

Going to the final frontier, gaming...

It was originally a PC game and then converted to lots of other systems. I personally think the Jag version is by far the best console version though, the controller deffo helps!

I tried out Superfrog on the Amiga this evening.

I remember a friend of mine at school was always drawing Superfrog, but at the time I didn't know it was a game. I just thought it was something he made up  :P

played some Alex the Kidd and Space Harrier on my SMS2 last night, thanks to Vyo for the mod it is now simple to connect to my big tv, only thing that I noticed is the fact that, when playing Alex Kidd the yellow no longer shows up properly, it comes through almost white, I noticed it in your photos but thought it was just the camera, any idea why that is? its no big deal the game plays and looks fine, just thought it was a bit odd

Composite's not really known for it's vibrant colours so you could try just turning the colour balance up on your TV.

Played.... Super Bomberman 5, Galaxians, Kwik Snax, Golden Axe II and probably some others I forgot at 8 bit lounge last night.

Tonight...played Arkanoid and Arcadians on the BBC Master.

Been playing some Turrican games.

Got pretty far on Turrican 1 on the Amiga, but I kept respawning inside walls and couldn't get out, so I had to quit.

Turrican 2 is impossible.

Turrican 3...didn't like it as much as Mega Turrican, but is actually easier despite the awkwardness of the controls. I actually completed it.

Since I was playing Turrican games, I played Universal Soldier (Mega Drive)

I actually like it more than Turrican 2 because it's possible to complete.

Turrican 2 would have been a decent port actually. Not great by MD standards, but solid. I just wish they would have added hit feedback... I will not play Turrican games or remakes without hit feedback. Games are unplayable for me like that.

Personally I have been playing some Pitfall on the 2600 these days. Never finished the game, don't even know how to do it, but it's still fun. :)
