I figured I'd start a thread where we can post videos looking at the evolution of retro Boxing games by consoles.  I'm going to start by posting three different Atari 2600 Boxing game videos:  Activision's Boxing, Atari's RealSports Boxing, and Devin Cook's homebrew, K.O. Cruiser.  Even looking at these games on the 2600, we can already see how these games evolved just on this one system.

Glad you like it.  I have several more in mind with other sports games.  They seem to lend themselves the most for this.

And to continue the evolution, here is Intellivision's Boxing!

That's a lot of boxing games for the Spectrum!

Here are two images of VecSports Boxing for the Vectrex!  Yep, even the Vectrex has a boxing game.  :)

I'm pretty sure that the people who made Frank Bruno Boxing are terrible, terrible people who will be going somewhere bad when they die. For one thing, not only did they steal a few characters straight out of the arcade version of Punch-Out, they also decided that this here:

Was a good idea. I mean, this was the 80's, you'd think we as a species would have moved on from that by then.

Jack The Nipper 2 (Coconut Capers ?) had similar offending material, in game and on the adverts.

Rogue Trooper

4D Boxing (cannot post pics/video, sorry).

Mindscape (ST/Amiga/PC) Polygon based characters, Rotoscoping, multiple viewpoints, 3RD Person perspective etc.

OK, so we've seen the Atari 2600 (with three versions just for that system), the Intellivision, the ZX Spectrum, the Vectrex, and now the Amiga/PC versions.

Here is now a boxing game for the Atari 7800:  Fight Night!

Good idea Trek! Activision boxing is still a favorite of mine.
