Looks like it is time for another classic for the 2600 to be updated. Omegamatrix has begun working on a new version of Circus Atari for the system. There is no playable demo yet but you can check things out here: Circus Atari Age 2600. He's been inspired by the original game to create this new and updated 2600 version.  So, far, I think this looks very good!

Well, this one looks to take things to the next level, from what I can see.  :)

I like the looks of the game. The 2600 was a fun game.

Great news, I loved Circus Atari, and it was one of the first games I bought when I got a 2600 a few years back. Looking forward to seeing the revamped version.

Looks brilliant - I love the gameplay of the original but even I find the square balloons a bit ugly - if the gameplay remains intact I'll be interested.....

The game has been demoed at PRGE and some new images are now available. Here are some more current images of the game in action:

I definitely want this one. Too bad about the name though, last I checked it didn't have the AtariAge in it. :(

That's actually been the name from the start, I believe.

Wait, I think I'm looking at the wrong game. I thought this was for the 7800 XM version of Super Circus developed by Bob Decresenzo. If that's for the 2600 above, that's really impressive!

Yes, this the 2600 version, not to be confused by Bob's excellent version for the 7800.  :)
